2018 YPS Interim Meeting highlights

Young physicians from across the country discussed priority issues and worked on shaping American Medical Association policy during this year’s AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS) Interim Meeting.

After reviewing the AMA House of Delegates handbook, the AMA-YPS assembly identified items of particular relevance to the section and developed testimony for reference committee hearings and on the House floor. Details of all AMA-YPS positions can be found on the AMA-YPS 2018 Interim Meeting documents page.

The theme for the AMA-YPS C. Clayton Griffin, MD, Memorial Luncheon was Don't just survive, thrive: Wellness for young physicians. This session featured speakers: Brooke M. Buckley, MD, FACS, Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, Meritus Health; John Fogarty MD, Dean, Florida State University College of Medicine, and Michael Tutty, PhD, AMA group vice president, Professional Satisfaction and Practice Sustainability.
