| 1 Min Read
STEPS Forward Pearl of the Week

When calling for pre-visit laboratory tests, order sets (bundles of test orders) will simplify the process and reduce the likelihood of missing lab tests. They can be grouped by condition—for example, with a patient with diabetes, an order set might include a HbA1c, lipid profile, urine albumin/creatinine ratio, and a basic metabolic panel.
