Candidate support eligibility & requirements
The LGBTQ+ Section offers support to candidates for AMA House of Delegates (HOD) 2026 elections. For elections occurring during the 2027 election cycle, the LGBTQ+ Section will offer endorsement. The section has opted to hold interviews by way of requesting written materials from candidates.
2026 & 2027 election LGBTQ+ Section support process
Candidates seeking the support of the LGBTQ+ Section should complete and submit the relevant questionnaire. The section will review submissions, and the Membership and Engagement Committee members will make recommendations based on candidate responses to the governing council for final approval.
- 2026 submissions deadline is May 1, 2026
- 2027 submissions deadline is April 1, 2026
