A-26 registration open
Registration for the 2026 Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates (HOD), June 5-10, and the section meetings, June 4-5, is now open.
Advance online registration is required for all attendees and their guests and children. To register, visit the AMA HOD Annual Meeting page. You will need to sign into the AMA website to register. Registration should be completed by all attendees to review and attest to abide by our Code of Conduct. Participants must also attest for their guests. Attendees must personally complete their registration; it should not be completed by other individuals. Your name on your badge will appear exactly as you type it into the system. Please do not use all CAPS or all lowercase letters.
Volunteer deadline extended to April 8
We are still in need of a few more volunteers to serve on reference committees, the Rules & Credentials Committee and as tellers for the 2026 Annual Meeting. We have extended the deadline to Wednesday, April 8, at noon Central. Please complete the HOD Committee Volunteer Form and indicate all committee(s) on which you would be interested in serving.
A-26 resolutions
Resolutions for the 2026 Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates must be submitted and approved by April 21, at noon Central. Refer to the HOD resolution page for detailed information about resolution submission to the HOD office along with resolution templates.
To guarantee that your resolution makes it through the review process by the on-time deadline, resolutions should be submitted by April 15, at noon Central. Those who submit resolutions will be notified via email when this review process is completed. Resolutions adopted and forwarded by the AMA section meetings held after the on-time deadline date and prior to the HOD opening session are excepted.
Resolution office hours
The HOD Affairs Office and the AMA Office of General Counsel will conduct resolution office hours to answer any questions while preparing resolutions for submission. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to aid in efficient approvals of submitted resolutions.

- Tuesday, April 7, 2026: 9–11 a.m. Central
- Thursday, April 9, 2026: 2–4 p.m. Central
HOD Handbook
The HOD Handbook will be posted on April 30, 2026, by 8 a.m. Central. All resolutions and reports received and approved by the April 21 on-time deadline will be included. Late (received after the April 21 deadline) and AMA section-excepted resolutions will be distributed in the meeting tote at the annual meeting on Saturday, June 5, 2026.
Online Reference Committees
The A-26 Online Reference Committees (ORCs) will open Thursday, April 30, at 5 p.m. Central. All on-time submissions, minus any exceptions, will be posted to the ORCs for review and comment during the three-week window required by policy. The ORCs are open to all AMA members. Authors are encouraged to post as soon as possible, and all are encouraged to post early so that a robust discussion may ensue.
The ORCs will close for general comments at 5 p.m. Central on Thursday, May 20, 2026.
Authors only may submit comments until 5 p.m. Central, Thursday, May 21, 2026. General comments submitted after 5 p.m. Central on May 20 will be removed.
Preliminary reference committee reports
Reference committees will use the ORC testimony as the basis for their preliminary recommendations on their Preliminary Reference Committee Reports. All items of business included in the ORCs will have a preliminary recommendation. The ORCs provide an opportunity to testify without limitation prior to the preliminary recommendations. Preliminary Reference Committee Reports will be posted by Friday, May 29, 2026, at 5 p.m. Central.
HOD Reference Manual available
The HOD Reference Manual has been updated for A-26. The manual serves as the standing rules of the HOD and is a great resource laying out procedures, policies and practices of House. The manual can be found in the Essential HOD Meetings Tools & Resources section on the HOD Annual Meeting page.
