The Organized Medical Staff Section (OMSS) offers its members various opportunities to be involved and advocate for patients and the profession.

The strategy and activities for the OMSS are directed by a seven-member governing council elected by section membership.

The next OMSS Governing Council election will occur in June 2024. Open positions include:

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Secretary
  • Delegate
  • Alternate delegate
  • Member at-large (2)

Nominations are due May 8, 2024. Submit your application now.  Contact us at [email protected] for more information.

OMSS representatives are selected by their medical staff peers and play a key role in the functioning of the section. In addition to representing the interests and concerns of their medical staffs at biannual OMSS meetings, OMSS representatives serve as liaisons between the OMSS and medical staffs across the country.
