Augmented intelligence (AI) has the potential to decrease physician burnout, improve patient care and help your organization achieve other strategic goals. As a practice adopts AI tools, it’s important to develop an overarching AI policy to guide your organization. Think through policies about risk assessment, documentation, safety and transparency, and how groups can collaborate across the organization. It will be equally important to understand how any state and federal laws will impact your organization’s use of AI.
