Your powerful ally

The AMA helps physicians build a better future for medicine, advocating in the courts and on the Hill to remove obstacles to patient care and confront today’s greatest health crises. 

Registration

Information will be posted once registration opens.

Credentialing

Only credentialed delegates will be permitted to vote on policy matters and in elections. The credentialing form will be distributed to those who register for the meeting as a delegate/alternate delegate. 

Travel, hotel and child care

Information on reserving a room, booking a flight, arranging child care and more will be posted once available.

Funding for your trip

Letter of Support

Students may request a Letter of Support addressed to your medical school dean, clerkship director or advisor to verify your participation in the meeting. Submit your request by May 31

Funding Letter of Support

Students may request a Funding Letter of Support addressed to your medical school administrator or state medical society executive to gain funding for the meeting. Submit your request by May 31

Travel grant

AMA offers a limited number of travel grants to increase participation in MSS national meetings by medical students who might not otherwise engage with AMA and to provide leadership and networking opportunities for these students. Learn more and apply by April 12.

Policymaking dates and deadlines

Dates and deadlines have been established for MSS policymaking leading up to the 2026 MSS Annual Meeting:

  • April 12: Final resolution deadline
  • April 19: Virtual Reference Committee opens
  • April 26: Virtual Reference Committee closes
  • May 22: Reference Committee report released
  • May 29: Virtual extraction deadline

Virtual Reference Committee

Visit the MSS Virtual Reference Committee page to review and comment on policy proposals that will be discussed at the meeting. Items will be posted by noon on April 19. The deadline to submit comments for consideration by the MSS reference committee is April 26

Governing council elections 

Elections will take place during the 2026 Annual Meeting. Applications are due May 11. Visit the medical student leadership opportunities page to learn more about the open positions and submit applications.

The Speakers’ Ruling will be posted when available. The Speakers' Ruling contains important information about campaign rules and processes.
