Annually, the Medical Student Section regions host Physicians of the Future Summits in January and February, which allow for educational programs and further discussion on policy development relevant to each region and its membership.  

Region 1 topics

Topics and activities to be addressed at the summit include:

  • Medical marijuana prescriptions
  • Role of physicians practicing in resource poor areas
  • Gun violence and mass causalities
  • Policy and advocacy discussions
