International medical graduates (IMG) that are far from home may find support from the Diaspora Health Network, a new innovative resource and engagement initiative intended to support IMGs in the United States through the process of giving back to their home countries.

As part of this effort, Diaspora is launching country gateways, which provide epidemiological data, health news, maps and engagement resources for a pilot set of five countries: India, Nigeria, Mexico, Nepal and Zimbabwe. Soon, the network will launch fully-resourced gateways for each major IMG country of origin as well as for a series of specialties.
