Suja Mathew, MD

Dr. Mathew is the chair of the Department of Medicine at Cook County Health (CCH) and governor of the Illinois Chapter, Northern Region, of the American College of Physicians, the largest specialty-based physician organization in the country. As clinician, educator and administrator, she directs internal medicine service delivery throughout CCH, including Stroger Hospital, Provident Hospital, and a network of ambulatory centers throughout Cook County. 

Dr. Mathew has a passion for the underserved and an interest in the areas of social determinants of health and professional satisfaction.
