CPT®2025 code set

​Effective Jan. 1, 2025, the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code set (also known as the CPT Standard Data File) has comprehensive features and benefits that contribute to efficient health care operations, accurate coding and billing, improved patient care, and valuable insights through data analysis and reporting.

Containing over 11,000 codes, additional valuable content and usability improvements, the CPT 2025 Standard Data File simplifies communication throughout the health care industry to enable smooth processing and advanced analytics for medical procedures and services.

HCPCS resources

HCPCS Level II professional edition

ICD-10 resources

AMA also publishes a library of ICD-10 titles to help users better understand the increased number of codes and enhanced code specificity of the ICD-10 code set.

Relative value units (RVU) resources

RVU search

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services offer a free search (CPT code lookup) for RVU for every CPT code.

Users can also request a CPT/RVU Data File license from the AMA to easily import codes and descriptions into existing claims and medical billing systems.

Medicare RBRVS: The Physicians' Guide

This invaluable reference provides the insights, tools and tables needed to understand the Resource-Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) and how to easily calculate payment schedules accurately. Available in e-book only.
