Katherine Yu is a member of the Medical Student Section (MSS) of the AMA and serves as student councilor on the Council on Legislation for the 2025-2026 term.
The MSS is a member interest group within the AMA for medical students. The governing council is responsible for directing MSS efforts at the national level to improve medical education and advocate for the future of medicine.
Yu has been a member of the AMA since 2024, serving in various leadership roles at the local, regional and national levels.
