The AMA is your powerful ally, focused on addressing the issues important to you, so you can focus on what matters most—patients. We will meet this challenge together.

Vacancy and special election

At the conclusion of the Annual Meeting in Chicago in June 2025, the Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) representative seat and the Young Physicians Section (YPS) representative seat on the Underrepresented in Medicine Advocacy Section (UMAS) Governing Council officially became vacant.

Interested residents, fellows and young physicians should submit the application by Aug. 3, 2025. Contact the UMAS at [email protected] for additional information or questions.
