Applicants for LGBTQ+ Section leadership opportunities should self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and/or queer; allies are also eligible. Applicants should have LGBTQ health expertise and/or experience in care delivery, clinical practice, research, policy, education and/or advocacy.

LGBTQ+ Section Governing Council

The strategy and activities of the LGBTQ+ Section are directed by a nine-member governing council elected by section membership. 

The LGBTQ+ Section Governing Council will hold a special election to fill a member at-large vacancy. The election will take place during the section business meeting on Friday, June 5, 2026.

We are seeking qualified applicants for this one-year term.
