Members of the LGBTQ+ Section have a unique opportunity to shape AMA policy and action on issues that affect young physicians, their practices and their patients.

Become an LGBTQ+ Section member
The LGBTQ+ Section meets biannually (June and November) to consider resolutions and reports on issues of interest to physicians and to elect the LGBTQ+ Section Governing Council. Any AMA member who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, or who is an ally of the community, can become a member of the AMA LGBTQ+ Section. Become a LGBTQ+ Section member.
