About the Academic Physicians Section (APS)

Updated | 1 Min Read

The Academic Physicians Section (APS) is the home within the AMA for academic physicians, providing an opportunity to influence AMA policy, learn about topics of interest to academic physicians, and connect with peers across the country.

Your Powerful Ally

Through AMA advocacy and policymaking, we are addressing the issues important to you—together—and shaping what’s next for physicians.

Work of the APS

In this video, former APS Governing Council member Ken Simons, MD, discusses the work of the APS and how it serves the interests of academic physicians nationwide.
