Call for Abstracts
Authors are invited to submit abstracts for consideration as part of the 2018 ICPH. Driving Meaningful Change: Make It Happen, Make It Matter is this year’s conference theme.
The conference will showcase research and innovations related to physicians’ health. It will provide a forum for practitioners and researchers to present recent findings, innovative methods, support systems and educational programs.
Of particular interest are submissions that focus on designing, implementing and leading meaningful and sustainable change within increasingly complex health systems to promote physician health and wellness—from medical school through to retirement. Relevant submissions dealing with any aspect of physicians’ health and wellness are also welcome.
The goal is to promote an overall healthier culture for physicians by offering practical evidence-based strategies for attendees to implement within their practices.
Submitting an abstract can offer an opportunity for you to further your work. Our audience of varied professionals interested in all aspects of physician’s health can act as an expert focus group and provide professional assessment of your submission.
Abstracts can be submitted from Feb. 1 to March 31, 2018.
Submit your abstracts online via the Abstract Submission Form.
Submissions should be in the form of one of the following formats. Handouts to support each format are highly encouraged.
- Poster presentations: Written or visual poster presentations will be displayed throughout the conference to allow discussion between authors and interested parties both informally and as part of a dedicated poster session. Poster presenters are responsible for producing their own materials. Poster presentations should be submitted as research or innovation.
- Oral presentations: Short oral presentations will be grouped into related sessions. Presentations should be 20–30 minutes with the last 5–10 minutes reserved for questions and discussion. Oral presentations should be submitted as research or innovation.
- Workshop presentations: This category includes interactive sessions, experiential presentations and program descriptions designed to improve skills and knowledge among those working in the area of physicians’ health. Didactic lectures are not acceptable. Subject matter is open but should address specific topical issues related to the conference theme. Workshops should have an emphasis on interactive learning and should be between 60–90 minutes with the last 10–15 minutes reserved for questions and discussion. When submitting an abstract for a workshop, the submitter will need to state the approximate length of the presentation in minutes.
