Physicians of the Future Summit—Region 6_Graphic

Annually, the Medical Student Section regions host Physicians of the Future Summits in January and February, which allow for educational programs and further discussion on policy development relevant to each region and its membership.

In 2022 the region summits were held virtually Feb. 5.

  • Marilyn J. Heine, MD, FACP, FACEP, gave an engaging presentation on effective advocacy, equipping medical students in Region 6 with the tools to advocate effectively at the local, state and federal levels.
  • Farid Ghamsari and Jack Gatti led a resolution writing workshop and brainstorming session. Please reach out to Jack Gatti ([email protected]) for any additional information.
  • Several chapters throughout the region highlighted events that they have held this year and how to best engage membership for virtual events.
  • Lauren Lin and Farid Ghamsari presented tips on CV writing, which was especially relevant to those with upcoming residency applications.

This year all regions convened for a joint session on Feb. 5 from noon.-2 p.m. Central, which was followed by separate region summits.

See the agenda tab for more information on the region 6 summit, or download the PDF.

The summit was held on the Zoom platform.
