AMA Career Planning Resource: Find information on everything you need to navigate medical school and transition into residency and practice—from how to write a CV and find a residency program to how to manage your student loans.

FREIDA Online®, the AMA Residency & Fellowship Database®: This resource allows students to research residency training locations throughout the country, offering a comprehensive database consisting of over 9,000 graduate medical education programs.

Financial Aid/Debt Management Information and Resources: The AMA is committed to helping students obtain information on financial aid and debt management resources. Some of these initiatives include:

  • The AMA Foundation: Provides scholarships, grants and awards to deserving medical students and residents.
  • Loan Forgiveness/Repayment Programs: Many programs offer to pay the cost of medical education (either upfront or through loan forgiveness/repayment) in exchange for a service commitment.
