The two-year term of service will begin July 1, 2022, with onboarding activities commencing in April 2022. Selection criteria includes demonstrated leadership, scholarly productivity and an understanding of the GME application and matching process. NRMP will accept up to three letters of support/recommendation per nominee; one MUST be from the nominee’s program director, program chair or designated institutional official. The NRMP Board meets three times per year (fall, winter and spring).

Nominations will be considered by the AMA Board of Trustees at its November meeting. Selected nominees will be forwarded to NRMP who will render its final decision in January 2022. Candidates must complete and submit both the AMA and NRMP applications.

Applications are due Oct. 22, 2021, at noon Central.

The two-year term of service will begin July 1, 2022. Selection criteria includes significant training in patient safety and health care quality. The Evaluation Committee meets four times per year (January, April, July and October).

Nominations will be considered by the AMA Board of Trustees at its November meeting. Selected nominees will be forwarded to ACGME who will render its final decision in February 2022. Candidates must complete and submit both the AMA and ACGME applications.

Governing council members are responsible for directing the programs and activities of the RFS.
