AMA Practice Transformation Boot Camp 2019 logo

AMA hosts practice transformation boot camp to advance physician well-being

The American Medical Association is offering a separate, immersive boot camp in Charlotte the day before the 2019 American Conference on Physician Health™ (ACPH). Make plans to join us on September 18 to learn and implement core interventions and strategies to improve practice efficiency.

Who is the boot camp for?

Designed for physicians, care team members and health system leaders, attendees will focus on the following learning objectives:

  • Effective change management strategies for leaders and teams.
  • Interventions and workflows that improve practice efficiency, support patient care and promote professional well-being.
  • Application of best practices from exemplary health care organizations to improve patient safety and care delivery processes.

Tailor your learning experience

Three separate learning tracks will be offered, each led by experts in the field of change management and practice transformation. Expand your knowledge base by choosing one of these three tracks:

  • Application of best practices from high-reliability organizations to advance overall wellness of providers:
Participants will learn how to apply lean management principles to identify and develop tailored practice interventions.
  • Core interventions to improve practice efficiency:
Attendees will learn about workflow interventions that can improve medication adherence, pre-visit planning and other team-based care strategies
  • A model to change management for leaders and teams:
Participants, especially individuals in leadership positions and those in a team-based environment, will learn and apply various change model concepts to foster meaningful change in the  clinical practice and creating effective communication with team members and administration
