The Young Physicians Section (YPS) endorses candidates for AMA House of Delegates (HOD) elections. For elections occurring during the 2027 AMA Annual Meeting, the YPS has opted to hold virtual interviews by way of requesting written materials from candidates.

The YPS process for endorsing elected and appointed AMA officials is detailed on the HOD webpage. Applications for YPS endorsement are due Jan. 30, 2026 at noon Central. Applicants may request information about the endorsement process by Jan. 23, 2026 at noon Central.
Candidates need to submit to [email protected] a letter requesting YPS endorsement, their CV, a letter from their sponsoring organization and a questionnaire (DOCX). Candidates have the option to submit a high-resolution photo.
