Gloria Wu, MD, serves as a member at-large on the AMA Women Physicians Section Governing Council for the 2022-2024 term.
The WPS is a member interest group within the AMA for women physicians and medical students. The section governing council is responsible for increasing the membership, participation and leadership of women in the AMA as well as advocating on women’s health and women in medicine policy issues.
Dr. Wu is the president of South Bay American Medical Association (2018-present) and regional governor of the American Medical Women's Association. She has written three textbooks on ophthalmology and runs a private, solo retina-vitreous practice in San Jose, California.
