Contribute to RFS policymaking efforts by submitting a resolution for consideration at the 2024 RFS Interim Meeting. The resolution submission deadline is Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. Central. Submit resolutions and direct any questions to [email protected].

Visit the RFS online member forum to review and comment on policy proposals that will be discussed at the meeting. The forum will be open Sept. 30–through Oct. 11. The deadline to submit comments for consideration by the RFS reference committee is Oct. 11.

Governing council
Programs and activities of the RFS are directed by a seven-member governing council elected annually by members of the section. One position is up for election at the 2024 Interim Meeting:
Sectional delegates/alternate sectional delegates
Sectional delegates represent the interests of resident and fellow physicians in the House of Delegates. The term for a sectional/alternate delegate is one year.
Attendance at the House of Delegates Meeting Annual meeting (June 6-11, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois) and the House of Delegates Interim meeting (Nov. 14-18, 2025 National Harbor, Maryland) is required.
Council resident seats
The RFS Assembly will endorse one candidate for the resident seat on the Council on Medical Education and the Council on Medical Services. The election will be held at the HOD meeting in June 2025. Any and all candidates may wish to continue their candidacy at the HOD regardless of whether they receive this endorsement.
BOT resident seat
The RFS assembly will endorse one candidate for the resident seat on the AMA Board of Trustees. The election will be held at the HOD. Any and all candidates may wish to continue their candidacy at the HOD regardless of whether they receive this endorsement.
