Brianna Ma, a medical student at California University of Science and Medicine, serves as vice chair of the Medical Student Section (MSS) Governing Council for the 2025-2026 term.
The MSS is a member interest group within the AMA for medical students. The governing council is responsible for directing MSS efforts at the national level to improve medical education and advocate for the future of medicine.
Ma has served in various national, regional, state and local leadership roles, including two terms on the San Bernadino County board, AMA delegate for California University of Science and Medicine, interest group president, two state MSS board positions, CMA Council on Legislation and CALPAC board member. Within the AMA she has served as a MERC committee member, outreach leader, digital fellow and AMPAC board member.
