IMGS sessions

Participants attended the Busharat Ahmad, MD, Leadership Development Program on Nov. 14, featuring Lauren Beene, MD, from Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights, who provided a presentation on “Roots of Change: Physician Leadership from the Ground Up.” Participants learned that their voice matters, we protect each other by organizing together and leadership grows from the ground up. This program was designated for a maximum of 1.0 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

On Sunday, Nov. 16, the IMGS culminated its meetings with participation in the joint sections Health Equity Caucus, convened by the LGBTQ+ Section, Underrepresented in Medicine Advocacy Section (UMAS) and Women Physicians Sections (WPS), where participation continues to increase.
