Women's History Month recap

Hello WPS! March came and went, but our WPS Governing Council and our WPS Standing Committee―GRROWL (Growing the Reach and Representation of Women Leaders), actively promoted WPS priorities. GRROWL organized the WPS Women’s History Month webinar, “Women Physicians Leading Change,” which took place Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Speakers were Sue Bailey, MD, Elizabeth Cerceo, MD, and Jeanne Conry, MD, PhD. Moderators for the program were GRROWL Chair Debbie Fuller, MD, and GRROWL member Keisha Callins, MD, MPH, with program planning support provided by GRROWL Vice Chair Nicole Henry-Dindial, MD, and logistical and technical support from Chloe Hartmann, WPS policy analyst, and Lilly Couch, AMA staff. Thank you to all participants who joined during the event for contributing to a lively and dynamic webinar. Fun fact: the colorful purple AMA Zoom background originated from Dr. Bailey, who was our AMA president during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
