The 2025 Interim Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates will be held Nov. 14-18, 2025, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. We encourage you to regularly check the HOD Interim Meeting page, which will be updated as information becomes available.
Preliminary reference committee reports posted
The preliminary reference committee reports are now posted on the HOD Interim Meeting page. The comments on the Online Reference Committee will continue to be available for viewing on the HOD website for your reference through the conclusion of the in-person reference committee hearings.
Pilot consent agenda for in-person reference committee hearings
A consent agenda will be utilized at all reference committee hearings. Any item of business that has a preliminary recommendation may be pulled from the consent agenda by any AMA member. All items of business that do not have a preliminary recommendation will be discussed. These include late resolutions, resolutions previously recommended against consideration and AMA section-excepted resolutions that have since been accepted for consideration at the second opening session.
Reference committee chairs will call for extractions at the start of each reference committee hearing. Your speakers encourage all larger groups and caucuses to develop a list of items for extraction and assign members of the group to pull all of the items in each reference committee. This will allow smaller delegations to pool their resources so that extractions for each agenda can occur simultaneously. The list of extracted items will be projected in each hearing room along with the current item under discussion for each reference committee.
Late resolution submission reminder
Any urgent resolutions adopted by your group after the on-time deadline should be submitted as soon as possible. Resolutions submitted after the Sept. 30 on-time deadline are considered late, with the exception of AMA section resolutions. Late resolutions will be reviewed by the Committee on Rules and Credentials and must be urgent in nature (i.e., cannot wait until the next meeting). Late resolutions require a two-third majority vote by the House to be considered. Refer to the AMA House of Delegates process for submitting a resolution page for more information.
Live streaming reference committee hearings and HOD sessions
If you are unable to attend the Interim Meeting in person, we will be providing live streaming for all HOD sessions and reference committee hearings. Register with your existing Zoom username and password or register as a guest with your email address. A verification code will be sent to your email.
