Identifying and Responding to Credentialing Complexities

The Joint Commission recently revised its medical staff standards and published an FAQ that states:

“Reappointment/re-privileging is due no later than three years from the same date from the previous appointment or reappointment, or for a period required by law or regulation if shorter.”

While many in the industry review this change as favorable, a multitude of decisions must be made before this change should occur within an organization.

This webinar discusses the pros and cons of transitioning to a reappointment period of three years as well as the industry standards and governance documents that will need to be evaluated and considered.
