Virtual Mentor is a student- and resident-driven journal published online monthly; it is advertisement-free and open-access. For the first time in its 15-year history, the journal is accepting unsolicited manuscripts for peer review and consideration through its online manuscript submission and review system.

The journal accepts article submissions on all medical ethics topics, from those of ongoing interest to those on a current event or recent debate in the medical ethics world. The editorial focus is on commentaries and articles that offer practical advice and insight for medical students, residents and physicians.
