Ask your clinical team, “Is there anything stupid that we make you do?” A health system in Hawaii used questions like these as it sought to reduce and streamline unnecessary EHR documentation.

That effort evolved into a system-wide program that helped free up time for doctors and other health professionals. The program took off quickly and came to be known as GROSS, or Getting Rid of Stupid Stuff.
