Clinicians starting at a new organization have plenty to do, from onboarding modules and credentialing with health plans, to learning their EHR and meeting the new team. Organizations need to have a defined patient ramp-up schedule for a new clinician, or risk leaving the new person overwhelmed and feeling less professional satisfaction from the start. Ramp-up schedules can differ for a physician who has been in practice for many years compared to a physician just out of training, and will also differ for an advanced practice clinician.
