For the past nine years, the AMA Profiles Hub offered physicians and licensing boards a secure means to access professional data.
AMA Profiles reflect the most current information recorded about physicians—MDs and DOs—within the AMA Physician Professional Data™ and may be used by organizations that a physician has authorized to verify their credentials for the purpose of licensing, privileging, or payer enrollment.
To make this process more seamless, the AMA launched a new site to replace the Hub and rebranded it as AMA Credentialing Solutions. Find out about improvements that benefit licensing boards.
New features
The transformation of the AMA Profiles Hub to AMA Credentialing Solutions was based on feedback from our customers and focuses on enhanced usability. These features include:
New AMA Profiles delivery process
Those boards requiring physicians to submit an AMA Profile as part of the license application will receive these AMA Profiles via the board’s account on the new site. No more delayed and complicated email delivery. Secure delivery to the board’s account happens real-time. A daily notification will inform your board of profiles delivered the previous day. Each AMA Profile will be individually accessible and downloadable from “Order & Manage Profiles” under the “Manage Profiles” tab. All licensing board account users may filter to see those profiles ordered by your board or those sent to your board by a physician or by an organization on behalf of a physician.
Improved checkout
Instantly download profile PDFs from the order confirmation page. AMA Physician Profiles are free to all licensing boards.
Clearer naming conventions
Profile PDFs now include the physician's name for easy identification.
“More Info” view
With this detailed activity view, users can track orders, download PDFs, and report discrepancies.
Efficient ordering
The new "Manage Profiles" reenvisions Profile Manager functionality from the Hub, helping users order profiles in batches by selecting from a list of previously ordered clinicians, and access PDFs for download.
Accessing the site
As of May 20, 2026, Licensing Boards are being redirected from the current AMA Profiles Hub to the new AMA Credentialing Solutions site. Your board’s account and order history are available on the new site. Each individual user’s existing AMA Profiles Hub login credentials work seamlessly on the new site.
Onboarding tools
Once logged on the new site, tools will be available to help users navigate the site. These tools include:
- Site tour: Quick tips pop-up when first visiting a new section of the site.
- Education center: A dedicated section with short video walkthroughs, illustrated how-to guides, and searchable FAQs.
- Contact us: File an online support ticket for product questions or site issues.
