2025 Interim Meeting

Hello AMAzing WPS! It was wonderful to see many of you in person, after numerous virtual communications in preceding weeks, at the AMA Interim Meeting (I-25) in November. Our WPS business meeting provided opportunities for engagement and interaction via breakout session discussions and interactive overview of the WPS policies and resolutions supported by our section.

One program our WPS Governing Council (GC) is proud to have supported and co-sponsored was our joint CME education event at I-25, “Responding to DEI Policy Reversals–Impact on Health Equity, Education, Research, Workforce and Patient Care,” in collaboration with the Underrepresented in Medicine Advocacy Section (UMAS) and LGBTQ+ Section. This tri-section partnership was collegial, fruitful and energizing, and our WPS looks forward to future opportunities to join with other sections/delegations for upcoming programming.

For those who participated in this education session, the deadline to claim CME credit or Certificate of Participation is Dec. 31, 2025. Visit the Interim Meeting education page for more details.

I-25 also provided an occasion for our GC to refresh our in-person connections. We enjoyed the chance to spend time together and meet other current and former section governing council members at the AMA Section Governing Council alumni reception.
