Shazia Pathan, MD, serves as delegate of the AMA Women Physicians Section Governing Council for the 2025-27 term.
The WPS is a member interest group within the AMA for women physicians and medical students. The section governing council is responsible for increasing the membership, participation and leadership of women in the AMA as well as advocating on women’s health and women in medicine policy issues.
Dr. Pathan attended medical school in Dubai, U.A.E., and completed clinical training in Baltimore, Maryland, and Los Angeles, California. She is currently a third-year categorical internal medicine resident at Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican in Las Vegas, Nevada.
