SPS business meetings
The Senior Physicians Section (SPS) assembly convenes biannually to review business under consideration by the AMA House of Delegates (HOD) and to host educational programming on topics of interest to senior physicians. SPS business meetings are held in advance of each Annual and Interim Meeting of the AMA HOD.
- 2026 Interim Meeting: Nov. 6-10; Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, Orlando, Florida
- 2027 Annual Meeting: June 11-16; Hyatt Regency, Chicago, Illinois
SPS virtual assembly meetings
In addition to in-person meetings held in advance of each Annual and Interim Meeting of the AMA HOD, the SPS assembly convenes in a virtual format each April and September to develop consensus opinions on SPS-sponsored resolutions. The next SPS virtual assembly meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, at 7 p.m. Central. Register in advance. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
