Sarah Mae Smith, MD

Sarah Mae Smith, MD, serves as alternate delegate of the Resident & Fellow Section Governing Council and as sectional delegate for the RFS at the American Medical Association for the 2025-2026 term.

The RFS is a member interest group within the AMA to provide resident and fellow participation in the activities of the AMA and gives a voice to and advocates for issues that impact them.

Dr. Smith is a neurological surgery resident at the University of California-Irvine. She has been actively involved in organized medicine since medical school and served on the AMA Board of Trustees. She also serves as a sectional delegate to the AMA House of Delegates, endorsed by the American Association of Public Health Physicians.
