Megan Chiu, MD, serves as member at-large for the Resident & Fellow Section Governing Council and as sectional delegate for the RFS at the American Medical Association for the 2025-2026 term.
The RFS is a member interest group within the AMA to provide resident and fellow participation in the activities of the AMA and gives a voice to and advocates for issues that impact them.
Dr. Chiu is a general surgery resident at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland. During her residency, she took dedicated research time as the surgical innovations fellow at Boston Children's Hospital and is pursuing a master's in public health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Chiu also serves as a sectional delegate to the AMA House of Delegates, endorsed by Ohio State Medical Association.
