Information about the 2023 MSS Interim Meeting will be provided as it becomes available. For information about the House of Delegates meeting visit the Interim Meeting of the HOD page.

Registration is now open for the 2023 Interim Meeting. Registration is free for AMA Members.

Only credentialed delegates will be permitted to vote on policy matters and in elections. Please register for the MSS meeting and indicate that you are a voting member. You will receive another credentialing form via email after submitting your registration. You must complete the credentialing form by Nov. 1, 2023, at 1:59 a.m. Central.

The MSS will host a virtual opening session on Nov. 6, 2023 from 8-10 p.m. Central. Register now to hear section updates from the governing council and liaisons and receive an introduction to parliamentary procedure. The floor will be open for nominations. This session is mandatory for those attending the 2023 MSS Interim Meeting.

Students may request an excuse letter for their medical school verifying attendance at the meeting.

Students may request a letter of support for funding from their state medical society or school.

Funds are available to help marginalized and under-represented medical students attend the meeting in person. Deadline is Sept. 20, 2023.

Dates and deadlines have been established for MSS policymaking leading up to the 2023 MSS Interim Meeting:

  • Aug. 27: (11:59 p.m. Central) Draft resolutions due
  • Sept. 17: (11:59 p.m. Central) Final resolutions due
  • Sept. 25: (Noon Central) Virtual Reference Committee opens
  • Oct. 1: Virtual Reference Committee closes
  • Oct. 27: Reference Committee report released
  • Nov. 3: Virtual extractions due

Visit the MSS Virtual Reference Committee to review and comment on policy proposals that will be discussed at the meeting. Items will be posted as they become available. The deadline to submit comments for consideration by the reference committee is Oct. 1 at 11:59 p.m. Central.

The MSS Assembly will hold elections for one open position on the governing council:

  • Chair-elect

Board of Trustee student liaison elections will also occur at this meeting. Region delegate/alternate delegate elections will also occur during MSS Region meetings.
