2025 MSS Interim Meeting agenda & resources

Your powerful ally

The AMA helps physicians build a better future for medicine, advocating in the courts and on the Hill to remove obstacles to patient care and confront today’s greatest health crises. 

Register now for the 2025 Interim Meeting. Registration is required for all attendees. Registration is free for AMA members. 

Only credentialed delegates will be permitted to vote on policy matters and in elections. The credentialing form will be distributed to those who register for the meeting as a delegate/alternate delegate.

Letter of Support

Students may request a Letter of Support addressed to your medical school dean, clerkship director or advisor to verify your participation in the meeting. Submit your request by Oct. 31

Funding Letter of Support

Students may request a Funding Letter of Support addressed to your medical school administrator or state medical society executive to gain funding for the meeting. Submit your request by Oct. 31

Travel grant

AMA offers a limited number of travel grants of up to $500 to increase participation in MSS national meetings by medical students who might not otherwise engage with AMA and to provide leadership and networking opportunities for these students. Learn more and apply by Sept. 28. 

Dates and deadlines have been established for MSS policymaking leading up to the 2025 MSS Interim Meeting:

  • Aug. 31: Draft resolution deadline
  • Sept. 21: Final resolution deadline
  • Sept. 28: Virtual Reference Committee opens
  • Oct. 5: Virtual Reference Committee closes
  • Oct. 31: Reference Committee report released
  • Nov. 7: Virtual extraction deadline

Visit the MSS Virtual Reference Committee page to review and comment on policy proposals that will be discussed at the meeting. Items will be posted as they become available. The deadline to submit comments for consideration by the MSS reference committee is Oct. 5

The MSS Assembly will elect these MSS Governing Council positions at the 2025 Interim Meeting:

  • Chair-elect
  • Student member to the Board of Trustees
