The Integrated Physician Practice Section (IPPS) convened its 2025 Interim Meeting on Friday, Nov. 14, in National Harbor, Maryland.

The event opened with a timely panel, cosponsored with the Private Practice Physicians Section (PPPS) and the Organized Medical Staff Section (OMSS), titled “The Trillion-Dollar Cut: Impact of Medicaid Cuts on Health Care.” Over 100 AMA members attended, gaining insights from stakeholders representing Medicaid directors, states and health plans.

Your powerful ally

The AMA helps physicians build a better future for medicine, advocating in the courts and on the Hill to remove obstacles to patient care and confront today’s greatest health crises.

The discussion on Medicaid continued during the IPPS Assembly, which brought together over 50 IPPS members. Speakers from Rush Health and Advocate Health shared anticipated financial, operational and clinical impacts related to H.R. 1.

Beyond educational sessions, IPPS hosted its popular Innovation Lightning Round, showcasing members driving transformative initiatives within their health systems. This year’s presentations included innovations from HCA Healthcare and Jefferson Health.

Finally, the Assembly concluded with an engaging policy dialogue and updates from AMA Board Liaisons and AMPAC.
