2025 Annual Meeting deadlines
This update is a reminder of various upcoming A-25 deadlines. Beginning in April we will be sending independent election information and meeting information notices. We encourage you to regularly check the HOD Annual Meeting page, which is updated as information becomes available.
HOD credentialing
HOD credentialing information for all delegations is due March 24, 2025. A-25 meeting credentials for all delegate(s) and alternate delegate(s) is finalized based on the information provided by this deadline. Delegation staff have been emailed directly to confirm or update the information the HOD office currently has on file. Volunteer applications
We are still in need of volunteers to serve on reference committees (other than F), Rules & Credentials Committee and as assistant tellers for the 2025 Annual Meeting. Please complete the A-25 HOD Committee Volunteer Form and indicate all positions for which you would be interested in serving. You must complete this form to be considered for service at A-25 as previous forms are not retained. The deadline to submit the volunteer form is March 26, 2025, at noon Central.
Resolution submissions
Resolutions for the 2025 Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates must be submitted and approved by April 22, 2025, at noon Central. Resolution submission guidelines and resolution templates may be found on the AMA House of Delegates process for submitting a resolution page.
Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for resolutions to be reviewed. Resolutions will not be accepted as on-time if any requested revisions have not been addressed by the sponsor by the stated deadline. Resolutions adopted and forwarded by the AMA section meetings held after this date and prior to the HOD opening session are excepted.
Questions about drafting resolutions?
The HOD office and the AMA Office of General Counsel will conduct resolution office hours to answer any questions while preparing resolutions for submission. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to expedite approval of your resolutions once submitted.

A-25 group registration for candidate interviews
Delegations and caucuses may choose to conduct virtual or in-person interviews for the 2025 HOD elections. Delegations/caucuses who wish to interview A-25 candidates for AMA office must complete this form to be added to the list of interviewing groups that will be provided to the candidates for scheduling. The deadline to submit the form if conducting virtual interviews is April 2, 2025. The deadline to submit the form for in-person interviews is May 15, 2025.
Groups are reminded that candidates may not accept interview invitations from any group that is NOT found on this list.
The HOD office will collate the list of groups wishing to interview for each position and send it to the corresponding candidates to schedule directly with the contact person designated by each interviewing group.
A-25 virtual interview window
- Virtual interviews may be conducted from April 26 through May 4.
A-25 in-person interview window
- In-person interviews may be conducted from June 6 through June 9, except during HOD sessions, including reference committee hearings.
A-25 official candidate notification
Review the official candidate notification (PDF) for the 2025 AMA elections listing members who have announced their intention to seek election at the June 2025 House of Delegates meeting as of March 6, 2025. Please note there has been a candidate who has withdrawn from running for a position on the Council on Medical Education. Candidates’ announcements can be found on House of Delegates, AMA Board and AMA Councils candidates' election page.
A-26 endorsement window reminder
Please be reminded that the A-26 election cycle endorsement window is currently open through June 6, 2025, at 5 p.m. Central. Note that A-26 candidates must be informed of receipt of an endorsement by this deadline. The official A-26 group endorsement list is posted to the HOD candidates endorsement information page. Candidates may not be endorsed by a group that is not on this posted list, with the exception of groups eligible to “sponsor” a specific candidate.
