Christopher Garafalo, MD, a family medicine physician, serves as member at-large (practice size of 1-10 physicians) on the Private Practice Physician Section (PPPS) for the 2026-2028 term.
The PPPS is a member interest group within the AMA for physicians in private practice. The section governing council is responsible for directing PPPS efforts to preserve the freedom, independence and integrity of private practice.
Dr. Garofalo has over 25 years of experience practicing medicine. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is affiliated with The Miriam Hospital and Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and has also served as a delegate in the AMA House of Delegates.
