HOD Delegate Handbook
The 2025 Annual Meeting HOD Delegate Handbook is now posted on the AMA HOD Annual Meeting page. All items of business that were received by the April 22 on-time resolution deadline are included. It is posted as a single large document and grouped in smaller documents collated by reference committee. An abridged handbook containing only the recommendations from reports and the resolve clauses from resolutions is also available in an Open Document spreadsheet which can be transferred to a Google sheet or other formats as desired.
As a reminder, there will not be an addendum. Late (received after the April 22 deadline) and AMA section-excepted resolutions will be distributed in the meeting tote at the annual meeting on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Online Reference Committees
The A-25 Online Reference Committees (ORCs) will open Thursday, May 1, by 5 p.m. Central and can also be accessed from the AMA HOD Annual Meeting page once available. The ORCs are open to all AMA members. Users must sign in as an AMA member and click the appropriate box to indicate whether their post reflects a personal opinion or the position of a sponsoring society. All posts should begin with the information listed IN ALL CAPS. Posts that are not appropriately identified will be removed.

- All appropriate roles (e.g., author, HOD delegate or alternate from X delegation, section member, council member, etc.)
- For whom you are speaking, if on behalf of a group
Authors are encouraged to post as soon as possible, and all are encouraged to post early so that a robust discussion may ensue.
The ORCs will close for general comment on Thursday, May 22, at noon Central. They will remain open for authors only until May 22 at 5 p.m. Central. Posts made after these deadlines will not be considered.
Resolution reaffirmation procedure
Resolutions for which reaffirmation of existing policy may be appropriate will be so marked on the ORCs. The policies which may apply will be posted by staff. Please discuss the appropriateness of reaffirmation in your comments in addition to any discussion you may have regarding the item itself.
Preliminary reference committee reports
Testimony from the ORCs will inform the development of the Preliminary Reference Committee Reports. The preliminary reports will contain recommendations which will be the agenda for the in-person reference committee hearings at A-25. It is imperative that there be vigorous discussion on the ORCs to guide the reference committees in making their recommendations.
Preliminary reports will be posted Friday, May 30, by 5 p.m. Central.
Late resolution submission reminder
Resolutions submitted after the April 22 on-time deadline are considered late, with the exception of AMA section resolutions adopted after this deadline. Any late resolutions must be submitted prior to the start of the HOD opening session set to begin Friday, June 6, at 6 p.m. Central. Late resolutions will be reviewed by the Committee on Rules and Credentials. Late resolutions require a two-thirds majority vote by the House to be considered.
