Her past positions include director of research at LSU Shreveport, cancer program chair at Providence Kadlec Hospital in Richland, Wash., and medical director and board member of the Tri-Cities Cancer Center in Kennewick, Wash. She previously served on the board of Physicians Insurance, a member-owned medical professional liability company, where she remains active on the Risk Committee, providing oversight on claims, enterprise risk and regulatory exposure.

Dr. Rege holds National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) directorship certification and is certified in cyber-risk oversight through the NACD and Carnegie Mellon University. She also holds a Master of Science in finance from the University of the Cumberlands. She received her BA in biochemistry from UC Berkeley and her MD from UCLA, where she also completed residency and fellowship.

A committed mentor and advocate for emerging leaders, Dr. Rege has advised early stage ventures in AI and big data through a health care incubator program at the University of Washington Foster School of Business Creative Destruction Lab and has engaged in public education through her former radio show, “Cancer Chat with Dr. Rege.” Her contributions have been recognized nationally with the ACRO Gold Medal (2023), the Sucha Asbell Mentorship Award (2022), and the AMA WPS Inspiration Award (2021).
