CHICAGO — The American Medical Association (AMA), the nation’s largest physician organization, announced the election of board-certified cardiologist Mario Motta, M.D., to its Board of Trustees.

“I am honored by this election, and I look forward to using my voice for the nation’s physicians,” said Dr. Motta. “Today’s physicians face a myriad of issues, from burnout to the exorbitant cost a medical education. Our patients are challenged by the ever escalating prices of medications. I have a proven record of activism, and I will be a strong, knowledgeable advocate both for patients and physicians.”
