Create a powerful visual aid to assist patient conversations about diet choices and diabetes.

Take an empty soda bottle and add granulated sugar to represent the sugar found in the sodas people drink every day. (A 20-ounce bottle of soda typically packs 16 teaspoons of sugar.) Place a bottle in each exam and discuss how reducing soda can help weight loss.
