September 2025

From YPS Chair Alisha Reiss, MD, FACS

It is hard to believe that summer is over, but with that, it is time to start thinking about the AMA Interim Meeting. Registration is open for the AMA Interim Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland, Nov. 14-18, 2025. Our YPS Assembly will be meeting on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.

YPS Endorsement Selection Committee

The Endorsement Selection Committee is tasked with recommending candidates for YPS endorsement who are applying for AMA president-elect, Board of Trustees, speaker, vice speaker and councils, as well as for external representative bodies for which a young physician member is permitted to apply (AMPAC, ACGME, etc.).

YPS members & news highlights

Check the list of additional monthly issues of YPS member news for details on the section's advocacy efforts, leadership opportunities, education, member profiles and more.

The Endorsement Selection Committee is comprised of members of the YPS Assembly as well as governing council members. The members of the assembly for the committee serve a 1-year term and will be voted upon at the interim meeting. If you would like to participate in making recommendations on candidates for YPS endorsement please consider applying. We do require that all members of the committee disclose conflicts of interest, and that they abstain from discussions or recommendations if they have a conflict of interest in a specific election.
