Hannah Catherine Wenger, MD, serves as the young physician member on the Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Affairs at the American Medical Association.
The Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Affairs provides guidance to the AMA Board of Trustees and AMA management on policy and advocacy initiatives impacting AI/AN medical students, physicians, and patients, while also contributing to broader AMA efforts aimed at improving health outcomes for this population.
Dr. Wenger earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at the University of Notre Dame and her MD at the University of Chicago. She is currently the assistant professor of medicine at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.
