Donald Warne, MD, MPH, serves as the member at-large on the Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Affairs at the American Medical Association.
The Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Affairs provides guidance to the AMA Board of Trustees and AMA management on policy and advocacy initiatives impacting AI/AN medical students, physicians, and patients, while also contributing to broader AMA efforts aimed at improving health outcomes for this population.
Dr. Warne is the co-director of the Center for Indigenous Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Md. He has over three decades of experience working with AI/AN communities as a primary care physician, public health professional, advocate, administrator, and academic.
